Roof gutter (commonly known as eaves gutter, rain gutter, or specifically valley gutter for interior junctions) is a critical component of a building's rainwater management system. It is a linear channel installed along the edges of a roof (eaves), behind a parapet wall, or in valleys where roof planes intersect. Its primary functions are to collect and channel rainwater, that is efficiently gather runoff from the entire roof surface. In addition, to controll drainage: safely direct the collected water to designated downpipes/downspouts and away from the building's foundation.
And protect structural integrity: prevent water from cascading uncontrollably, which can cause erosion, damage to facades, staining, and seepage into walls or the building's substructure.
There are several types of gutters:
- Eaves Gutter: the most common type, installed along the roof's lower edge.
- Parapet Gutter (Box Gutter): Concealed gutter located behind a parapet wall on flat or low-slope roofs.
- Valley Gutter: Installed in the internal angle where two roof slopes meet.
The rain gutter's profile may seems to be easy, but it requires a high designed rain gutter roll forming machine. We have an experienced cold roll forming machine teams and our rain gutter cold roll forming machine has high quality. It combines speed, precision, and material efficiency to transform coated metal coil into durable, high-quality gutter systems. By enabling cost-effective mass production, this technology is fundamental to meeting the demands of the global construction industry for reliable and aesthetically pleasing building drainage solutions.
